Alvanley Parish Council would like to thank all the residents who took part in the village’s latest biannual litter pick, organised by Councillor John Wright on Sunday 27th September.
Volunteers from across the parish came together to collect litter from roadsides, verges, footpaths and public areas, helping to keep Alvanley looking at its very best and protecting the local environment for everyone to enjoy.
The event once again demonstrated the strong community spirit that exists within the village, with residents giving up their time to make a positive difference to their local area. Alvanley Parish Council is particularly grateful to Councillor John Wright for coordinating the litter pick and to all those who supported the initiative.

Parish Council Chair, Jeanette Hughes, said: “It is wonderful to see residents giving their time to support our village. Community events such as the litter pick play an important role in keeping Alvanley a pleasant place to live, while also bringing people together for a common purpose.”
Vice Chair, Dave Gilbert, added: “Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the event such a success. The pride residents take in Alvanley is clear to see, and initiatives like this make a real difference to both the appearance of the village and the local environment.”
The Parish Council recognises the importance of community-led projects such as the litter pick and would encourage residents to continue taking pride in their local surroundings.
Alvanley Parish Council extends its sincere thanks to everyone who participated and looks forward to supporting future community environmental initiatives.
